Palm Desert is in Riverside County in the low desert of Southern California, south east of Los Angeles, east of Orange County, and north east of San Diego. Palm Desert is just 2 hours from LA, Orange County, and San Diego, and is in the heart of the Palm Springs area. Most visitors view the whole area as "Palm Springs" as that is the original location made famous by Hollywood Celebrities. Since its initial fame, Palm Springs has grown to its own booming area and includes the cities of Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, Indio, Indian Wells, and of course Palm Desert. Palm Valley Country Club and our vacation condo rentals are conveniently located to all of the attractions near Palm Springs, in the Coachella Valley, as well as to the I10 freeway. Palm Valley Country Club is perfectly located in Palm Desert California as this map shows. You get to enjoy all the conveniences of Palm Desert without the hassle of traffic on the main streets of Cook and Monterey. The Marriott Desert Springs is a few miles west (we used to stay in their villas and fell in love with the Palm Springs area, but our vacation rental condo is much nicer than anything they have).Ralph's grocery and Mortons Steak House are at the intersection of Cook and Country Club. Gelson's is at the corner of Country Club and Monterey for high end and specialty groceries and wine.
Palm Valley country club is a private enclave of luxury condominium homes comprised of a mix of permanent residents, seasonal residents, vacation rentals, and second homes. The complex is large and well maintained. As you can see by this map, though, not all locations in the development are created equal. Views, privacy, convenience, and noise vary greatly.
Sweet Pea Way, the location of our "Vista Las Palmas" rental condo is considered one of the premiere locations in the country club, and you can see why by looking on this map of PVCC. We are far from the freeway, central in the development, on a fairway, and north facing. All of these aspects keep our Palm Desert vacation rental quiet, private, convenient, and comfortable. The 16th hole condo, on Chrysanthemum Way is on another premier street within Palm Valley Country Club. This street and condo are again interior and quiet.
Our Palm Desert golf condo "Vista Las Palmas" is on the fairway of the 9th hole of the Ted Robinson designed championship golf course. The "Chrysanthemum" condo is on the 16th hole of the same golf course. This and the challenge course will not disappoint you where water is concerned. We are midway on the fairway, set back from the cart path, and not at the tee box or green, so you will find our condo to be one of the most comfortable on any course for the purpose of sitting out back. The 9th hole location is especially nice as you can stop in the middle of your round of golf to refresh your cooler (supplied on every golf cart) without even slowing down the pace of your game. I prefer 9 holes to 18, so I usually get dropped off here, whilst my other half continues!
