This vacation rental in Oceanside is a place that can be enjoyed in all seasons.
Summer: North Coast Village and Oceanside beaches and harbor are very busy in July and August. I've spent most of my years in CA in Orange County, and this spot reminds me most of Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and Mission Beach in San Diego, though I find it to still be quieter and a bit less "superficial." Oceanside seems to be a favorite of our neighbors in the desert, and Arizona.
Fall: Shhhh...the best kept secret of southern California beach towns...the early fall has the BEST weather! It is sunnier, and often warmer at the beach in September and October than other months - not to mention less crowded and less expensive. Perfect for couples, and families with younger children.
Spring and early Summer: You never know what you'll get during these times. We are a semi arid climate here, but we can get rain in the spring time and a marine layer that keeps things a little foggy and cooler. For natives this is a time to keep a sweatshirt in the bag, scour the beach for treasures, and explore the local attractions without the crowds (except spring break of course.) If you are coming from the Midwest, north, or east - you'll think this is heavenly regardless, after the long hard winter.
Winter: I guess you know a true beach lover when they even love it in the winter. Now I'm really talking about my roots in New England (I LOVE the beach in the off season there) - it never really becomes winter in Oceanside. We have one of the most moderate climates in the world. Escape the cold and gloom of some other states, or enjoy the quieter side of Oceanside during these months.
