The view from the living area is of serene White's Cove. You will feel like you are on the "deck of a boat" while you enjoy watching the tides, osprey, seals, and lobster boats come and go. We keep a nicely stocked lending library (leans toward mysteries and thrillers) and supply plenty of family board games for lazy days. There is no television to spoil your vacation. You will find plenty to do and rediscover a true holiday. Guide books, unique Maine books, and brochures await you with plenty of info to plan your excursions. If it gets chilly the woodstove will keep you toasty, and we even supply the wood.

The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need for a lobster dinner. The cabinets are freshly painted and the microwave, fridge, stove and coffee maker are clean and updated. We even keep the place stocked with basic necessities like starter toilet paper, paper towels, salt, pepper, and coffee filters - so you feel like a guest at a friend's home!

The master bedroom is on the first floor. It has a comfortable queen size bed, a closet, clothes armoire, blanket chest, as well as reading lamps and an alarm clock for catching your flight home. You might see a moose while in Maine, but you'll have to lie in this bed for a guaranteed sighting! (The new moose art work isn't shown here.) There are ample pillow, a down comforter, and a vortex space heater for the early or late season visitors.

This Maine cottage is a gambrel, so the upper floor has pitched ceilings in the bedrooms, a small open loft area, and a two story family and dining area. The rooms are small, but sweet... The guest bedroom pictured on the left has a full size bed with a down "duvet" as well as a bureau. This room has a door; the "bunk room" shown to the right has just a curtain separating it from the loft area. The bunk room houses the built in bunk beds, as well as a stand alone twin bed. Each bed has a reading lamp. There is a blanket chest and bureau in this room and hooks, hangars, and window fans in both.
This vacation rental has a full bath, with a tub and shower. We found that when our kids were little, that a tub was a necessity, not a luxury! New for 2005 season, we have started supplying bath towels and sheets. Very few vacation rentals in Maine supply these items, but we know how much stuff most folks bring, and who needs a suitcase full of these items to wash when they get home!
This Georgetown Maine Vacation Rental is a great example of the quintessential Maine cottage (or "camp" as Mainers say). It is clean, comfortable, and simple. You will find every thing you need to enjoy your true Maine vacation. Our beds are comfortable, decor is tasteful cottage style, and the kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and all the important items for enjoying Maine lobster.
